I am working to elect Robbie Dobyns for City Council because I believe he will be great for Santa Fe. I went to SFHS with Robbie and taught in Santa Fe for three decades (remember Ms. G?). There are many reasons why he will serve our community well. He’s a capable leader, a smart problem-solver, a sincere egalitarian, and a genuine good guy.

Robbie is a helper. He has made helping others his life style. As I have talked to many people around town, there is always a warm story about how Robbie “helped me out”. He will always help…from fixing a flat tire to spending hours helping an organization in trouble. He is responsive to others, always. He makes himself available. He loves to serve.

Robbie is a leader. He has held many leadership positions in various groups and organizations, from President of New Mexico Realtors Association to VP of the board of KSFR, Santa Fe’s ONLY public radio station. He helped start Open Hands and just recently rejoined the board at their request, though he had a campaign to run. He doesn’t list all his positions, because he sees them as service, not feathers in his cap.

Robbie is a problem-solver. He has a broad knowledge of SF, a lifetime of experience here and a direct involvement with the homes, neighborhoods, businesses and people through his real estate work. He gets excited about helping young people find a home or start a business. He sees his work as another way to help, that’s his motivation.

Robbie is committed. He loves Santa Fe and his family and friends, but embraces the whole community. He is a true egalitarian, not seeing class, money, nationality, or any distinguishing labels. He treats everyone the same, and believes all are equal. He believes government should serve people, all people, equally.

I like his ideas, big and small. They have nothing to do with special interests. He stands up for what he believes in, the common good of Santa Fe, whether it’s popular or not. He doesn’t avoid the tough problems. If it needs to be done, it makes common sense to do it now before it costs twice as much, or causes greater problems. He listens to others and looks at all viewpoints. He’ll compromise on a “how” to accomplish a goal, but he won’t compromise his cause: a better Santa Fe for our children.

If Robbie Dobyns gets up at 5am to take pledges for the local public radio station he must have pretty good character. He raised quite a bit of money too!

I have recently have gotten the opportunity to work with Robbie and have enjoyed every moment! He is a truly caring person and I believe that he does good for all he comes in contact with. I have happily volunteered to help with his campaign because I know that he will be productive and positive influence for the people.

Robbie is AWESOME! I have known him for several years and can honestly say I don’t know a more kind hearted, genuine human being!
I believe Robbie has the background, experience and first hand knowledge of what works and what DOESN’T work in Santa Fe.
Being a community involved, informed, Native New Mexican is a very valuable asset to our City Council….. Go Robbie!!

I have known Robbie for several years. I have seen Robbie help people not only through real estate transactions, but with their dreams and aspirations. Robbie has a wealth of knowledge of the history of Santa Fe and it’s people. Robbie’s had experiences with people from all walks of life and cultures. Robbie will be an asset to our city council, District 2 will benefit greatly as Robbie has many great ideas to offer this community. He truly is as genuine as they come! Good Luck Robbie!!!
